Sanary-sur-Mer is loved by France locals like me but not very well known internationally. It's my favorite coastal town on the French Riviera, offering a delightful blend of charm and authenticity that rivals its more famous neighbors. Nestled between the azure waters of the Mediterranean and picturesque hills, Sanary-sur-Mer boasts a stunning harbor lined with colorful fishing boats and a vibrant promenade perfect for leisurely strolls.
The town is renowned for its delightful markets, where visitors can savor fresh produce, local delicacies, and handmade crafts. The culinary scene is exceptional, featuring numerous bistros and restaurants serving delectable seafood dishes that reflect the region's maritime heritage.
Unlike the bustling hotspots of Cannes or Nice, Sanary-sur-Mer maintains a relaxed atmosphere that invites visitors to unwind and soak in the beauty of its surroundings. With its charming architecture, friendly locals, and breathtaking coastal views, Sanary-sur-Mer is a true hidden gem waiting to be explored.
