The Greenfield Business Association is rolling out fresh initiatives to support local commerce, with Executive Director Hannah Rechtschaffen announcing both a successful summer shopping passport program and plans for a new business awards celebration.
The summer shopping passport, which recently wrapped up, encouraged residents to visit participating downtown businesses by offering incentives for collecting stamps. Shoppers who filled their passports were entered into drawings for prizes, driving foot traffic to local stores and restaurants throughout the season. Rechtschaffen noted that the program saw strong engagement from the community, with many businesses reporting increased sales and new customers discovering their shops for the first time.
Looking ahead, the association is preparing to launch the Greenfield Business Awards, a new event designed to recognize outstanding contributions from local entrepreneurs and companies. The awards will highlight achievements in categories such as customer service, innovation, and community impact. Rechtschaffen emphasized that the goal is to celebrate the diverse businesses that make Greenfield a vibrant place to live and work.
Both initiatives aim to strengthen the local economy and foster a sense of connection among business owners and residents. More details on the awards ceremony, including nomination deadlines and categories, are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
