MANHATTAN, N.Y. – After decades of serving the community, a beloved magazine shop on the Upper East Side is set to close its doors. International News & Magazine, located on East 86th Street, will officially shut down at the end of June. The closure comes as a result of the building being sold by the previous management company, leaving the store without a viable option to continue operating in its current location.
The shop has been a staple for local residents and visitors alike, offering a wide selection of magazines, newspapers, and other reading materials. The owner expressed deep disappointment over the closure, emphasizing the hard work and dedication that went into running the business over the years. Efforts are currently underway to find a new location, but the uncertainty of the future looms large.
As the community prepares to say goodbye to this cherished establishment, many customers have shared their fond memories and expressed their sadness over the impending closure. The hope remains that the store can find a new home and continue its legacy in the heart of Manhattan.
