A Buckhannon-based company has been recognized as the premier rural small business in West Virginia. Problem Solver’s Consultants, a marketing agency, has been named the 2026 West Virginia Rural Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The prestigious award highlights the firm's significant impact and success within its community. It celebrates businesses that demonstrate substantial contributions to job creation, innovation, and the overall economic vitality of rural areas. The agency provides a range of marketing and consulting services, helping other local enterprises grow and thrive.
The formal award presentation is scheduled for May 6 in Fairmont. This ceremony is a key part of the state's observance of National Small Business Week, an annual event dedicated to honoring the critical contributions of America's entrepreneurs and small business owners. The recognition shines a spotlight on the innovation and resilience present in West Virginia's small business community, particularly those operating outside major metropolitan centers.
