Just months after opening Fifth House, owner Mark Gregory was forced to shut the doors. The restaurant, which had shown early promise, could not sustain its operating costs. Gregory said the closure was heartbreaking, especially so soon after launch. But now, in an unexpected turn, Fifth House is reopening, and the reason is a complete stranger.

An anonymous donor stepped in with a substantial contribution. The gift covers the restaurant's outstanding debts and provides enough working capital for a fresh start. Gregory told reporters he felt "lots of gratitude" but admitted he had no idea who the benefactor is.
